St. Clair Inn turns 100 with a free open house Nov. 10 and a Centennial Gala Nov. 14
ST. CLAIR, Mich. — The St. Clair Inn is marking 100 years on the St. Clair River with a free public open house on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and a Centennial Gala on Saturday, Nov. 14, the hotel announced on its website.
The open house runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the inn, 500 N. Riverside Ave. There is no fee to attend, and the hotel invites visitors to walk through the historic building for the anniversary.
The Centennial Gala the following Saturday starts with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner and a program at 7 p.m. Tickets are $200 a person through Eventbrite. The listing says the evening is for ages 21 and older and includes a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres, a three-course plated dinner, a champagne toast, live entertainment, a DJ and dancing, valet parking and a keepsake gift.
Overnight guest-room specials are also available for the weekend, the inn said. Sponsorships for the gala can be arranged through sales@stclairinn.com.
The Tudor Revival hotel opened in 1926 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has long drawn wedding parties, travelers and riverfront diners. WGRT reported the anniversary events on Oct. 14.
For tickets and room packages, see stclairinn.com/100-year-celebrations or the Eventbrite gala listing. The inn’s main line is (810) 289-6209.
