The parade begins at 6 p.m. at Abbot Road and Burcham Drive and is set to end on Farm Lane on the MSU campus around 7:15 p.m., according to the station. The State News, citing the City of East Lansing, reported the same start and end times.
The first closures run from 2:30 p.m. to about 7 p.m. They cover Abbot Road between Saginaw Street and Burcham Drive, and Burcham Drive between M.A.C. Avenue and Abbot Road.
In the same window, Centerlawn Avenue and Northlawn Street close between Forest Street and Abbot Road. Evergreen Avenue and Forest Street close between Centerlawn and Northlawn, and Fern Street closes between Abbot Road and Evergreen.
Residents, employees and guests will still be able to get in and out of driveways on those streets until 4:30 p.m., WILX reported.
From 5:30 p.m. to about 7:15 p.m., Abbot Road closes between Burcham Drive and Grand River Avenue. Grand River closes between Harrison Road and Abbot Road and between Hagadorn Road and Collingwood Drive/Farm Lane. Michigan Avenue closes between Harrison Road and Grand River.
At 5:45 p.m., Grand River Avenue also closes between Abbot Road and Collingwood Drive/Farm Lane, until about 7:15 p.m.
The station advised drivers to plan ahead and pick another route during the parade.
