Battle Creek’s late Halloween calendar: downtown trunk-or-treat Oct. 24, then Bailey Park Oct. 30
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Two free trunk-or-treats bookend the last week of October in Battle Creek, one downtown and one at Bailey Park.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, The Link Community Event Center and Taste of the Creek host a trunk-or-treat from 1 p.m. until supplies last at 311 West Michigan Avenue downtown. The city’s Small Business Development Office lists the event as free and says organizers are still seeking donations and volunteers to decorate and set up.
The same afternoon, the Battle Creek VA Medical Center plans its own free trunk-or-treat from 1 to 3 p.m. in Parking Lot A at 5500 Armstrong Road, according to the VA’s event page. The notice describes it as an afternoon for Veterans and staff.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, the Battle Creek Police Department’s trunk-or-treat runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bailey Park, 1350 Capital Avenue Northeast, the city calendar says. That event is also listed as free.
Families chasing candy before Halloween night can stack the Oct. 24 downtown and VA stops, then circle back to Bailey Park the evening before Oct. 31. Confirm hours with each host if weather or supply limits change the plan.
