BAY CITY, Mich. — Families in Bay City can trick-or-treat downtown on Saturday, Oct. 24, and on Sunday choose between a gentler version of the city’s haunted ship and a hospital trunk-or-treat, with a stand-up show in between.

Here is what is on, according to the organizers and venues.

Saturday, Oct. 24, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Treats & Treasures. Children can trick-or-treat at participating businesses throughout Downtown Bay City, in costume or fall clothes. The event is free, according to Go Great Lakes Bay, and Downtown Bay City is the contact for details.

Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m. — Lee Hardin Comedy Night. The comedian performs at the State Theatre of Bay City, with tickets sold through the theater’s online box office.

Sunday, Oct. 25, noon to 4 p.m. — the Edson Incident, low-scare session. The haunted attraction aboard the former destroyer USS Edson, ranked first three years running by MichiganHauntedHouses.com, its organizers say, opens for a low-scare afternoon with $10 tickets. A full-scare session follows from 7 to 10 p.m. for $15, after peak nights Friday and Saturday at $25. Organizers suggest choosing “Avoid Tolls” in Google Maps to cross the city’s free bridges, or taking the Wilder Road exit (No. 164) from I-75, heading east and following the signs.

Sunday, 4 to 6 p.m. — Trunk or Treat at MyMichigan Health Park Bay. The health system hosts a family trunk-or-treat at its facility at 3051 Kiesel Road, according to a MyMichigan news release.

Nearby on Sunday. MyMichigan Medical Center Midland holds its own Trunk or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m. in Parking Deck 2 on its campus, with a visit from Lou E. Loon at 1:30 p.m.
