What is Telly's Bar & Grill? Emmett's new family sports bar, explained
Advertiser disclosure: Telly's Bar & Grill advertises on The Mitten Daily. This story is based on information and a statement provided by the business.
EMMETT, Mich. — If you live in Port Huron, Marysville or anywhere along the Thumb Coast, there's a good chance you haven't heard of Telly's Bar & Grill yet. The bar and restaurant opened in April 2026 at 10980 Dunnigan Road in Emmett, a short drive west of Port Huron in St. Clair County. It's already becoming a go-to spot for people who live nearby.
What kind of place is it? Telly's is a family-friendly restaurant with a sports-bar feel. You can bring the kids for dinner, and it's also a place to watch the game with friends. Owner George sums it up this way: "Looking for a nearby spot for dinner, the game, or a casual night out? Telly's Bar & Grill delivers family-friendly dining and sports-bar energy with standout dishes like ribs and kabobs. Stop in."
What's on the menu? Telly's is known for its baby-back BBQ ribs and its kabobs, both chicken and shish. Pizza is a regular too.
Is it a good place to watch the game? Yes. The sports-bar side has plenty of screens for game days, and Telly's has hosted live music on some Friday nights. Check its Facebook page for what's coming up.
How do I get there? From I-69 westbound, take Exit 184 (M-19, Sandusky/Richmond). Turn right onto M-19 and head north about a mile, through Emmett on Kinney Road and Main Street. Then turn left onto Dunnigan Road. Telly's is about three-quarters of a mile ahead on the right. It's about 15 minutes from the Blue Water Bridge.
When is it open? Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.; Monday and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It's closed Tuesdays.
Why is it worth the drive? Emmett hasn't had many places of its own to eat out and gather. For Blue Water families looking for something beyond the usual Port Huron stops, Telly's is an easy trip with no downtown crowds.
If you go: Telly's Bar & Grill, 10980 Dunnigan Road, Emmett, MI 48022. I-69 Exit 184 (M-19), then left on Dunnigan Road. Phone (810) 242-2484. Open Sunday noon–8 p.m.; Monday and Wednesday–Saturday 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; closed Tuesday.
Follow Telly's on Facebook for game days, live music and what's new.
