FLINT — Flint fans who cannot get to Ann Arbor for Saturday’s Michigan–Michigan State game can watch it for free on a big screen at Mott Park Clubhouse.

Rivals Gameday, put on by Kairos Entertainment, runs from 5 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the clubhouse and its field at 2401 Nolen Drive, according to the event’s ticket page. Organizers bill it as a free watch party with a huge LED screen, live DJs, food vendors, giveaways and tournaments. General admission is free and open to the public. RSVPs on the event page are encouraged but not required; organizers say they help them plan for the crowd.

The game itself kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Michigan Stadium, according to the University of Michigan’s athletic department. The pregame portion of the Flint party runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and a pop-up shop inside the clubhouse is open from 5 to 9:30 p.m., the listing says.

The tournaments

The party includes paid competitions with separate sign-ups. A cornhole tournament has a youth co-ed division for players under 18 at $20 per team and an adult co-ed division at $30 per team; the fee covers both players. Table-game tournaments include spades at $30 per two-person team, dominoes at $15 per player and UNO at $10 per player.

Spots are limited, and brackets, match times and prizes will be announced before game day, organizers said. Every competitor must sign a participation waiver, and players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission.

The listing also advertises 7-on-7 football for boys and girls in three age groups: grades 4 to 6, middle school and high school. Each tournament needs its own registration.

The game

The Spartans and Wolverines meet in the 119th edition of the rivalry, a night game in Ann Arbor that streams on Peacock, according to Michigan Athletics. Michigan leads the all-time series 75-38-5 and has won four straight, and the winner keeps the Paul Bunyan Trophy, which the teams will play for for the 74th time. Michigan State fans may remember a rough October; the Spartans lost 38-37 in overtime to Illinois at homecoming during a three-game skid.
