Jackson’s free Halloween Town trunk-or-treat returns to Keeley Park on Oct. 28
JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson County’s annual Halloween Town trunk-or-treat is back at Keeley Park later this month.
The free event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at James J. Keeley County Park on the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 128 W. Ganson St., according to the county’s events calendar. Organizers invite families for decorated trunks, candy and community fun on the fairgrounds grounds that also host the American 1 Event Center.
Admission is free for visitors. Businesses, groups and neighbors who want to decorate a trunk and hand out candy can register through the county’s signup form linked from the calendar listing.
Halloween Town sits on the same fairgrounds campus that will host Shipshewana on the Road this weekend, Oct. 17–18, so families planning a fall outing in Jackson can bookend the month with a craft show and a free community trick-or-treat night.
Keeley Park is at 128 W. Ganson St. Drivers can use fairgrounds parking near the event center. The county lists the trunk-or-treat as a County Parks / American 1 Event Center volunteer-style community night; check the calendar closer to Oct. 28 for any weather or schedule notes.
Updated Oct. 16, 2026: Replaced a relative date (“two weeks from tonight”) in the first paragraph. The Jackson County calendar still lists the free event for Wednesday, Oct. 28.
