Things to do in Lansing for late Halloween: Boo at the Zoo, a river-trail treat walk and Trick or Treat on the Square
LANSING, Mich. — Lansing’s remaining Halloween calendar still has two Boo at the Zoo weekends, a Saturday treat walk on the River Trail and a downtown candy night on Washington Square before Oct. 31.
Boo at the Zoo, noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 25. The zoo at Potter Park, on South Pennsylvania Avenue, runs the event on Oct. 17–18 and Oct. 24–25, the zoo’s event page says. Free attractions include treat stations (with gluten-free, nut-free and non-candy options), a maze, dress-a-skeleton displays, conservation stations and performers. Guests can buy activity tickets or wristbands for extras such as a blacklight room, hayride, inflatable slide and axe throwing. Warm mini donuts and Quality Dairy cider are for sale. Standard zoo admission applies; Ingham County resident adult tickets are listed at $10 and non-resident adults at $17.
Trick or Treat on the Trail, 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Downtown Lansing Inc. lists a family treat walk along the Lansing River Trail at the Fish Ladder and Benjamin Davis Park.
Trick or Treat on the Square, 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. Participating shops along South Washington Square’s south blocks hand out candy, with games, a costume contest and free entertainment that includes a magician, face painting, balloons, a Ghostbusters character and a DJ, according to the Downtown Lansing Inc. event page.
Times and details can change, so check each listing before you go.
