Petoskey Downtown Trick or Treat is Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Gaslight District
PETOSKEY, Mich. — Downtown Petoskey’s merchants will hand out candy to costumed kids on Halloween morning, Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, according to the Downtown Petoskey events calendar.
Downtown Trick or Treat is a daytime alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating, and with Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, it lets families shop and stroll the Gaslight District before evening plans.
How it works. Families walk shop to shop; the listing does not call for tickets or registration.
Tips. Late-October mornings on Little Traverse Bay can be cold and windy, so leave room for a coat under costumes. Downtown parking fills quickly on Saturdays; arrive early or plan to walk a few blocks.
Coming up downtown. The holiday season starts with Ladies Opening Night on Nov. 20 and the Downtown Petoskey Holiday Parade on Nov. 28, according to the downtown calendar.
