Fire destroys Ride ’Em Hard Motorworks and an attached Port Huron apartment; no one hurt
PORT HURON, Mich. — A fire early Monday destroyed Ride ’Em Hard Motorworks and an attached apartment on 21st Street near Bancroft, WGRT reported.
The station said the fire started around 6:30 a.m. in the garage. Flames were already coming through the roof when firefighters arrived. Crews rescued a resident from the apartment. No one was hurt, according to WGRT, but the building is a total loss.
Marysville, Fort Gratiot and Port Huron Township firefighters came to help Port Huron crews, the report said. Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.
WGRT’s account was posted Thursday, Oct. 15. Officials had not released a cause as of that report.
