Saginaw Swan Valley stays perfect, rolls past Essexville Garber 42-14
SAGINAW, Mich. — Saginaw Swan Valley kept its perfect record and Tri-Valley Conference Red lead intact Friday, beating Essexville Garber 42-14, according to MLive’s Bay County Week 6 coverage.
The Vikings are 6-0 and 4-0 in league play. MLive described Swan Valley as ranked No. 3 and said the Vikings capitalized after Garber (3-3, 2-3) struggled to sustain drives.
Saginaw United was blanked 30-0 by Bay City Central on homecoming at Engel Stadium the same night, MLive reported — a tough outing for the United program against a Central defense that recorded its first shutout since 2020.
MHSAA.com’s Week 6 review kept Saginaw Valley League North leader Mount Pleasant (6-0) in focus after the Oilers beat Bay City Western, underscoring how many Saginaw County and Bay County teams are still playing meaningful October football.
