KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo United kept its perfect season and tightened its grip on the Southwestern Athletic Conference with a 7-0 win over Schoolcraft on Friday, the Michigan High School Athletic Association reported.

The Titans are 6-0. MHSAA.com said United led two other SAC teams by a game with three contests left — all against clubs sitting 2-4 or 1-5. WSJM’s Week 6 scoreboard also listed the 7-0 final.

Across town, Battle Creek Central beat Kalamazoo Central 36-23. Both Central teams landed at 3-3, WSJM reported, while MHSAA.com noted Battle Creek Central’s jump to No. 32 in Division 3 playoff-point average.

Decatur’s 34-7 win over Galesburg-Augusta clinched a share of a second straight Southwest 10 title, MHSAA.com added — another reminder that southwest Michigan’s unbeaten clubs are separating as October deepens.

Updated Oct. 12, 2026: United beat Coloma 28-7 on Oct. 9 to reach 7-0, according to MaxPreps, which lists the team under Hackett Catholic Prep. Its next game is against South Haven on Oct. 16. Records above are as of the week of the game.
