Clare’s Witch Project and a Mount Pleasant trunk-or-treat headline Saturday in Mid-Michigan
CLARE, Mich. — Families looking for a Mid-Michigan Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 17, can stack a free afternoon trunk-or-treat in Mount Pleasant with a paid hay-wagon haunt in Clare the same night.
Michigan Crossroads Council’s Clare Witch Project returns to Camp Rotary, 3201 S. Clare Ave., with arrivals between 7 and 10:15 p.m., according to the council’s event page. Guests board a hay wagon for a “Trail of Horror” through the camp, then walk a haunted house and finish with refreshments in the dining hall. Tickets are $9 at the gate, or $8 if bought online ahead of time; children under 5 are free. Ticket sales end at 10:15 p.m. The camp phone is 989-386-7943.
Earlier the same day, the Mount Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau lists Fall-le-lu-jah Trunk-or-Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant First Church of Christ, 1610 E. Broadway St. The free indoor event includes games, pumpkin decorating and a chili cook-off. Contact ehopper@mtpfcoc.com or 989-332-1769.
The Morning Sun’s October roundup also flags St. Louis craft and fall-fest stops the same Saturday for drivers who want a third town on the trip. Clare’s Pumpkin Run 5K is later in the month; Farwell’s Halloween market is listed for Oct. 24.
Confirm hours before you drive. Outdoor haunts can change with weather and ticket sellouts.
