MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The last weekend of October in Mount Pleasant starts with a home football game and a downtown shopping day and ends with a guided walk through Riverside Cemetery.

Here is the lineup for Oct. 24–25, according to the organizers.

Saturday, Oct. 24, 1 p.m. — Central Michigan vs. Miami (Ohio). The Chippewas celebrate Senior Day at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, honoring the senior class in a pregame ceremony. The university will also recognize its National Alumni and Alumni 10 within 10 award winners and its 2026 Mid-American Conference champion gymnastics team, and “Beat Miami” buttons will be handed out at Fan Central. The game streams on ESPN+.

Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Fall in Love with Downtown Mt. Pleasant. Downtown businesses plan an open house with special offers, fall treats, activities and giveaways, according to the event listing.

Saturday afternoon and evening — Art Reach. Art Reach of Mid Michigan, 111 E. Broadway St., holds a registered fused-glass workshop, Falling for Fused Glass, from 12:30 to 3 p.m., where students make two small fall suncatchers. Its Teen Open Studio for ages 13 to 19 runs from 6 to 8 p.m., with pumpkin painting as October’s project for a $5 materials fee.

Sunday, Oct. 25, 3 to 5 p.m. — Riverside Cemetery Walk. The Chippewa River District Library stations actors at gravesites in Riverside Cemetery, 320 W. Broadway St., to tell the stories of historical figures. This year’s tales include settling the farm where CMU’s campus now sits, a triple murder and a World War II romance. Tours leave every 20 minutes from 3 to 4:30 p.m., so visitors may wait for the next group, and the walk goes on rain or shine.

Plan ahead. Central Escapes, 5450 S. Mission Road, runs Ghost Golf Island, a spooky indoor glow-golf course, through Oct. 31. The city’s downtown Pumpkin Promenade for children 12 and under is Friday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m.
