Mount Pleasant Christmas Celebration is Saturday, Dec. 5: a 5K, Breakfast with Santa, afternoon fun and a 6 p.m. Lighted Christmas Parade
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Downtown Mount Pleasant’s Christmas Celebration fills Saturday, Dec. 5, from a morning run to an evening parade, according to the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Morning. The day starts with the Jingle-All-the-Way 5K and Breakfast with Santa at Sacred Heart Academy, the bureau says.
Afternoon, 1-4 p.m. Downtown activities include a train ride, ice sculpting, a Winter Market, cookie decorating at Max & Emily’s and holiday crafts with Art Reach, according to the bureau.
Evening. The Christmas tree lighting leads into the Lighted Christmas Parade at 6 p.m., with Santa as the guest of honor.
Details to come. The city’s Christmas Celebration page says parade details, including the route, are still to be posted. Check meetmtp.com and the city’s recreation page for updates and any registration.
Plan ahead. Early December evenings in mid-Michigan are cold; bring blankets or chairs for the parade and arrive early for curbside spots.
