Traverse City West hosts Bay City Western Friday, a week before the crosstown game
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Traverse City West plays its final home game of the regular season Friday night against Bay City Western in a Saginaw Valley League North game, according to MaxPreps.
Kickoff is listed for 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at West.
The Titans are 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the division, which puts them third. They beat Mount Pleasant 31-29 on Oct. 9, a week after a 52-24 loss at Midland Dow. West’s other league wins came against Traverse City Central (56-18) and at Midland (36-7).
Bay City Western is 3-4 and 1-3 in league play. The Warriors earned their first division win Oct. 9, beating Traverse City Central 27-21 at home. Their league losses came by two points to Midland, 14 to Dow and 22 at Mount Pleasant.
Against the same four division opponents, West has scored more and allowed fewer, MaxPreps results show. The Titans beat Midland by 29 and Mount Pleasant by two, both teams that beat Western.
West closes the regular season Oct. 23 at Traverse City Central in the crosstown game. Western hosts Bay City Central that night.
