Southeast Michigan and Detroit: High school football playoff scores, district semifinals
Detroit Cass Tech routed Plymouth 55-13 and Detroit Catholic Central beat Lake Orion 43-6 as the MHSAA playoffs opened Friday night in Southeast Michigan, setting up Division 1 district finals between Cass Tech and Dearborn Fordson and between Catholic Central and Oxford. In Division 2, North Farmington rallied in the fourth quarter to edge Ferndale 27-26, and unbeaten Gibraltar Carlson broke open a scoreless game in the second half to beat Detroit Mumford 14-0, MLive reported.
Every score below is a final listed the same way by MaxPreps’ MHSAA brackets and at least one other outlet, and no outlet we checked (the Associated Press scoreboard, High School On SI, MLive and local TV and radio) reported it differently. Where those outlets disagreed, the game is left out and named at the end. Each heading links to that community’s Mitten Daily page, and “Next” is the next-round game (Nov. 6–7) from the MaxPreps brackets.
