Harrison outlasted McBain 60-52 in a Division 7 shootout, Millington beat Clintondale 63-0 and Ithaca shut out Saginaw Valley Lutheran 49-0 as the MHSAA playoffs opened Friday across Mid-Michigan, the Thumb and the Blue Water Area. Millington and Ithaca now meet in a Division 7 district final, MLive reported, and Marine City scored 86 points against New Haven, according to MaxPreps and the Associated Press.

Every score below is a final listed the same way by MaxPreps’ MHSAA brackets and at least one other outlet, and no outlet we checked (the Associated Press scoreboard, High School On SI, MLive and local TV and radio) reported it differently. Where those outlets disagreed, the game is left out and named at the end. Each heading links to that community’s Mitten Daily page, and “Next” is the next-round game (Nov. 6–7) from the MaxPreps brackets.
