FLINT, Mich. — Mott Community College’s volleyball team made quick work of Schoolcraft College on Wednesday night, winning 25-16, 25-10, 25-14 in Livonia to move to 25-1, according to Mott’s official box score. Two nights earlier the Bears swept Macomb Community College 3-0; WNEM TV5 noted they had come into that match at 23-1.

According to Mott’s athletics site, that is seven wins in a row. The Bears are 6-1 in conference play and 5-0 in road matches. Their only loss was a 3-0 home defeat to St. Clair County Community College on Sept. 21 at Ballenger Field House. Before and after that night, they have kept winning, often in straight sets.

Last weekend Mott went 4-0 at the Grand Rapids Community College tournament. It beat McHenry County 3-0, the host Raiders 3-1, Waubonsee 3-2 and North Central Michigan 3-0, then came home and handled Macomb.

Mott’s team leaders show the attack is spread out. Lily Sukup leads with 2.73 kills per set. Maggie Elliott averages 2.68 and Hannah Schummer 2.63, so no single hitter carries the offense.

After the Schoolcraft win, Mott hosted Oakland Community College on Monday, Oct. 12, in a Pink Out match and won 3-1, WNEM TV5 reported, moving the Bears to 26-1 overall. Mott’s athletics schedule lists the team at 7-1 in conference. Next up is a road match at Jackson College on Wednesday, Oct. 14. On Oct. 19 the Bears travel to Port Huron for a rematch with St. Clair County, the one team that has beaten them this season.

The regular season ends Oct. 28 at Macomb, and the conference championship is set for Oct. 31.

Updated Oct. 13, 2026: Added Mott’s 3-1 Pink Out win over Oakland Community College on Monday, Oct. 12, moving the Bears to 26-1 and 7-1 in conference, per WNEM TV5 and Mott’s athletics schedule. The next match is at Jackson College on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
