Jackson Lumen Christi meets Dearborn Divine Child at Ford Field on Saturday, a Prep Bowl matchup of two 2025 state champions to close the regular season
JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson Lumen Christi finishes its regular season under the roof at Ford Field on Saturday, when the Titans play Dearborn Divine Child at 4:30 p.m. in the Catholic High School League’s Prep Bowl in Detroit.
The game pairs two reigning state champions. Lumen Christi won the MHSAA Division 6 title in 2025, and Divine Child won Division 4, the league said in its Prep Bowl preview. Both teams go into Saturday at 7-1, according to MaxPreps.
It is the first of two Prep Bowl showcase games. The second, at 7:30 p.m., matches Birmingham Brother Rice and Novi Detroit Catholic Central, which the Oakland Press listed as No. 1 and 7-0 last week.
A centennial celebration. This year’s Prep Bowl, the 54th, is part of the Catholic League’s 100th anniversary, and the league has planned its biggest moment around the Lumen Christi game. Right after it, the league will introduce its 100 Greatest Male Athletes and 100 Greatest Female Athletes, chosen for what they accomplished in college or professional sports. At halftime, the Divine Child Marching Band will perform and the league will recognize its Scholastic All-Catholic Class of 2027, juniors honored for their work in the classroom.
The rest of the day. Gates open at 7:15 a.m. Two exhibition games and the Catholic Youth Organization’s C-D and A-B championship games fill the morning, the high school program opens at 12:45 p.m. with educator awards, and the Cardinal Championship between the league’s two Intersectional division winners kicks off at 1:30 p.m.
For fans. Ford Field’s clear-bag policy applies. Clear bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches and one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags are among the allowed options, and all bags are subject to inspection, the league said.
Saturday is the final week of the regular season before the MHSAA playoffs.

Two Jackson County townships ask voters for new public-safety taxes: 1.25 mills in Liberty Township for a fire engine and a 10-year, 2-mill levy in Norvell
Neither request is a renewal. Liberty’s three-year tax would raise about $247,488 in its first year to replace a fire engine; Norvell’s would raise about $391,000 a year for police, fire and ambulance service through 2035.
