Jackson hosts 6-1 Adrian on Friday, a week after the Vikings snapped a two-game skid
JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson High School’s football team draws one of the hottest teams in the Southeastern Conference White on Friday, when Adrian brings a 6-1 record and a four-game winning streak to Jackson for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Vikings are 3-4 overall and 3-2 in the division after a 43-21 win over Lincoln last week, which ended a two-game losing streak, according to MaxPreps. Adrian is 4-1 in league play and second in the division on MaxPreps, with its only league loss coming against Chelsea.
The two teams have five common opponents, and the scores lean Adrian’s way. Both beat Pinckney, Lincoln and Ypsilanti, but the Maples did it by wider margins: 49-6 over Lincoln and 42-0 over Ypsilanti, against Jackson’s 43-21 and 27-8. Chelsea beat both, 56-27 over Jackson and 49-21 over Adrian.
The widest gap came against Tecumseh, which beat Jackson 49-6 on Sept. 25. A week later, Adrian won at Tecumseh 15-14.
Adrian has scored 274 points in seven games, about 39 a game, and allowed 135. Jackson has scored 169 and allowed 212, MaxPreps shows. The Vikings’ wins have come against Pinckney, 30-23, Ypsilanti and Lincoln. Their nonleague losses were to Western, 20-12, and at Monroe, 35-24.
Adrian won last season’s meeting 48-7 on Oct. 17, 2025, at Adrian, according to Michigan Prep Football’s game records.
Both teams have one regular-season game left after Friday. Jackson plays at Jackson Northwest on Oct. 23. Adrian, which beat Northwest 53-25 on Sept. 3, hosts New Boston Huron that night.
