Jackson Lumen Christi stays No. 1 in Division 6 after 45-10 win
JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson Lumen Christi remains the team to beat in Division 6. The Titans improved to 5-1 with a 45-10 win over Detroit University of Detroit Jesuit on Friday, according to JTV’s Week 6 scoreboard, and opened the week atop the Associated Press Division 6 poll.
The Oct. 6 AP poll listed Lumen Christi No. 1 in Division 6 with a perfect 50 points from the voting panel. Almont, Kingsley, Marine City and Detroit Edison rounded out the top five.
Jackson High took a 36-24 loss to Monroe the same night, JTV reported, one of several Cascades and nonconference results on a busy Friday across the county.
MHSAA.com’s statewide Week 6 review kept Division 6 contenders in view as playoff-point averages tighten. Lumen Christi had three regular-season weeks left to pad its résumé before Selection Sunday on Oct. 25.
Updated Oct. 12, 2026: Lumen Christi beat Toledo St. Francis de Sales 43-28 on Oct. 9, MaxPreps results show, and is 6-1. It plays Detroit Country Day on Oct. 16. Records above are as of the week of the game.
