Port Huron Red Hawks stay unbeaten, clinch MAC Blue share at 6-0

PORT HURON, Mich. — The Port Huron Red Hawks are still perfect — and they have a league title share to show for it. Friday’s 29-14 win over Macomb L’Anse Creuse North clinched a piece of the Macomb Area Conference Blue championship, MHSAA.com reported.

Port Huron is 6-0. The Michigan High School Athletic Association noted it is the program’s first league title share since 2023 and that the Red Hawks have at least doubled the score on every league opponent, with L’Anse Creuse North (4-2) the stiffest test.

MaxPreps confirmed the 29-14 final and the 6-0 record. Warren Cousino was due at Port Huron on Friday, Oct. 9, according to Cousino’s MaxPreps schedule. The Patriots had earned their first win of the season the week before, 10-6 over Utica Ford.

The Red Hawks also cracked the Associated Press Division 3 poll released Oct. 6, sitting at No. 10 with 5 points — another marker for a team riding a six-game winning streak.

Updated Oct. 7, 2026: Corrected Port Huron High’s team name to the Red Hawks; an earlier version used the school’s former nickname, the Big Reds. Also clarified Port Huron’s No. 10 spot in the Associated Press Division 3 poll and that Cousino plays at Port Huron.

Updated Oct. 12, 2026: Port Huron beat Cousino 56-6, MaxPreps results show, and is 7-0 and 4-0 in the MAC Blue. The Red Hawks play Madison Heights Lamphere on Oct. 16. Cousino is 1-6. Records above are as of the week of the game.
