Temperance Bedford stays perfect at 6-0 after 38-35 thriller over Dexter
TEMPERANCE, Mich. — Temperance Bedford kept its perfect season alive Friday with a 38-35 win over Dexter, a game the Michigan High School Athletic Association spotlighted in its Week 6 review under Southeast & Border watch-list results.
The Kicking Mules are 6-0. MHSAA.com noted Bedford made the District Finals a year ago while finishing 5-6 overall — and had already surpassed that win total with three regular-season weeks still ahead.
MLive’s Ann Arbor-area highlights said Dexter sophomore quarterback play piled up big passing numbers in a 38-35 loss, but Bedford’s offense answered enough to stay unbeaten in the Southeastern Conference Red.
MHSAA.com framed a potential Week 8 winner-take-all against Saline in the SEC Red if both teams keep winning. Saline entered Week 7 at 6-0 after a 61-0 win over Ann Arbor Huron. Bedford played at Huron on Thursday, Oct. 8, according to MaxPreps.
Updated Oct. 12, 2026: Bedford won 35-0 at Huron on Oct. 8, and Saline beat River Rouge 42-21 the next night, MaxPreps results show. Both teams are 7-0 and 5-0 in the SEC Red going into their Oct. 16 game. Correction: An earlier version of this story said Bedford would host Huron. The game was played at Huron.
