Warren Cousino earns first win, 10-6 over Utica Ford, then falls 56-6 at Port Huron

WARREN, Mich. — Warren Cousino finally has a win. The Patriots edged Utica Ford 10-6 on Friday for their first victory of the season, MaxPreps reported.

Cousino moved to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the Macomb Area Conference Blue. MaxPreps said Utica Ford fell to 2-4. The Patriots’ schedule listed a trip to Port Huron on Friday, Oct. 9 — a daunting visit to a 6-0 league leader.

Port Huron clinched a share of the MAC Blue title with a 29-14 win over L’Anse Creuse North, MHSAA.com reported, and had doubled up every league opponent. Cousino was the next test on that slate.

For Warren fans, the first win ends a long drought to open the year. The next challenge was steeper: keeping Friday night competitive against one of the Macomb Area’s unbeaten clubs.

Updated Oct. 12, 2026: Port Huron won 56-6, MaxPreps results show. Cousino is 1-6 and 1-4 in the MAC Blue and plays Warren Fitzgerald on Oct. 16. Port Huron is 7-0. Records above are as of the week of the game.
