After an Oct. 10 park trail, two trunk-or-treats and a night for tots fill St. Clair’s Halloween calendar
ST. CLAIR, Mich. — Families in St. Clair have five Halloween dates this month, at least two of them free. The first was a Trick & Treat Trail at Greig’s Park on Saturday, Oct. 10, according to the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce’s events calendar.
Two local businesses host trunk-or-treats, where kids go car to car for candy. Cargill opens its lot at 916 S. Riverside Ave. from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, and LaFontaine Chevrolet Buick GMC St. Clair holds its own from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. Both are free, and costumes are encouraged.
The youngest trick-or-treaters get their own evening on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when the St. Clair Recreation Department runs Halloween for Tots in the downtown Plaza.
Adults close out the month on Saturday, Oct. 24, with a Halloween costume party at War Water Brewery.
The chamber did not list start times for the park trail, the tots’ event or the brewery party. Its office at 201 N. Riverside Ave. can be reached at 810-329-2962 and is open weekdays except Monday, generally from late morning to early afternoon.
Visitors making a day of it can walk the city’s riverfront boardwalk at Palmer Park, where the downtown tree lighting follows the Santa Parade on Nov. 20.
Updated Oct. 13, 2026: The Greig’s Park Trick & Treat Trail took place Oct. 10. This guide was published before them, and its schedule language has been changed to the past tense. Cargill’s trunk-or-treat (Oct. 17), Halloween for Tots (Oct. 21), LaFontaine’s trunk-or-treat (Oct. 22) and the War Water Brewery party (Oct. 24) remain ahead.
Updated Oct. 13, 2026: The headline and summary were updated because some of the events listed have already taken place.
