Delta Township’s free Trick or Treat Trail filled the Lansing Mall Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Families trick-or-treated indoors at the Lansing Mall on Wednesday for free, Delta Township said, with displays set up by local businesses and groups while candy lasted.
The Trick or Treat Trail ran Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mall, 5330 West Saginaw Highway. The township said the event was free this year because of sponsor support.
A participation card was required. The line for cards formed at the back of the mall, at the entrance between Dunham’s and Zap Zone XL. Kids brought their own trick-or-treat bags, and costumes were encouraged.
Township recreation staff had posted a long list of participating tables, from service clubs and churches to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office, the Delta Township District Library, Zap Zone and Michigan Education Trust, according to the township page.
The mall sits on West Saginaw Highway in Delta Township, just west of Lansing — the same corridor as the township offices a short drive west at 7710 West Saginaw Highway.
